Quality Craftsmanship
Our buildings are handcrafted by master carpenters which helps to insure the building you receive is of a high standard of quality.

Floor
The floor starts with the 4x6 pressure treated skids on which the foundation of the building is formed. The floor is then framed using pressure treated 2x4's on our smaller buildings and 2x6's on our larger Florida buildings with a 16" in center spacing to allow for maximum sub-floor strength and integrity. The final aspect of the floor is the decking itself. The decking is the part of the building which will receive the most abuse yet is typically the most neglected when it comes to choosing a proper material. Hurricane clips help to insure our storage sheds hold up in all kinds of weather for many, many years. Southern Storage is proud to install 3/4" pressure treated plywood on all its Florida buildings, giving you a floor system that will stand the test of time.

Walls
Aesthetics and durability are the two major functions siding and wall framing serve. In order to fulfill these two requirements our walls are constructed using the finest grade siding available. The wall framing utilizes 2x4 studs spaced 24" on center and where applicable are secured with hurricane clips and design specifications that meet Florida DCA wind code. The exterior wall is durable, quality 5/8 inch t-111 siding.

Roof
No one likes a leaky roof and especially not when it is protecting storage. In order to insure the longest lasting Quality craftmanship and quality materials means that your storage building, shed, cabin, gazebo, mini office, garage, barn or workshop will last for decades. defense while giving the most uniform appeal all Southern Storage Solutions roofing is finished with asphalt shingles that carry a 20 year warranty. Internal moisture can also cause damage in our relative climate of the southeast and through the use of roof ridge vents protection is installed to insure the release of this excess moisture. We also have aluminum roofing available.
